Presenter Exemption Form

It is the responsibility of the LEAD PRESENTER to submit the exemption request on behalf of their co-presenter. Lead presenters must be current NIRSA members.

* An exception to the Membership & Registration Requirement Policy must meet one of the following three categories. Check all those that apply:

Is not a collegiate recreation professional

Is not employed within a collegiate recreation setting (even if employed by a college, university, etc., that has a collegiate recreation program)

Is not a full-time or part-time student enrolled in leisure studies, recreation, collegiate recreation, or related academic program

  • Complimentary event registration will be provided to allow eligible exempt presenter(s) to attend ‘same day’ educational sessions. If eligible exempt presenters are interested in attending additional days, then they will be required to register.
  • Submitting the Presenter Exemption Request Form by the presentation proposal deadline is required for full consideration.
  • Consideration for requests will be based on budget and membership considerations by NIRSA’s Executive Director or a designee.

Note: Corporate entities and other vendors are ineligible for an exemption to the policy.

After submitting your exemption, you will receive an email confirmation. If confirmation is not received, call 541-766-8211 or email education@nirsa.org. The lead presenter will be notified of the Program Committee's decision to either accept or decline the exemption at the same time they are notified the presentation is accepted or declined.
